For the two year duration of the Caboolture Hospital redevelopment, entry to the hospital was relocated to the rear of the existing building, and requires visitors to traverse a 65m driveway from a carpark and dropoff. Installing a temporary covered walkway gantry enabled protection from the elements.
To create an inviting entry experience for visitors, a large format mural was created for the full extent of the site fencing and gantry header. The graphics draw upon local sub-tropical plant motifs and birds, and a colour palette that grounds the gantry in the surrounding building architectural colour and forms and compliments the vibrant purple wayfinding signage.
“Metro North Hospital and Health Service engaged Goldi Design to create gantry artwork as part of temporary construction works for the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment. Goldi Design brought together their expertise in design, along with an understanding of the particular requirements of a hospital setting to develop a design that is appropriate, safe and creates a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. Goldi Design worked with the Project Team to create, manufacture and install artwork in a tight timeframe. We’ve found Goldi wonderful to work with start to finish.”
