Through colourful typographic layering of ten learner profiles, striking custom graphics add colour and interest to corridors in this International Baccalaureate school in Spring Hill, Brisbane.
The graphics and colour palette respond to the overarching architectural concept for the building, where each level presents a narrative of a different continent. Level 1 displays East and South East Asia’s diverse customs and traditions of art, while Level 2 depicts South America’s vibrant culture and diversely rich landscapes.
The concept for the graphic is to demonstrate strength and confidence and the student’s path to making an impact in the world. The application of the graphics to the glazing provides visibility into classrooms at all times, while diffusing the view through translucent cut out letter shapes.
